Payment Policy

This Payment Policy explains the payment methods, payment processing procedures, transaction requirements, refunds, and related payment matters for purchases made through carrottool.com.

By placing an order with CARROT TOOL, you agree to this Payment Policy together with our Terms & Conditions, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, and Privacy Policy.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

Payments on CARROT TOOL are securely processed through PayPal.

Depending on your country, account status, device, and the options made available by PayPal during checkout, customers may be able to pay using:

  • PayPal account balance
  • Eligible credit cards
  • Eligible debit cards
  • Other payment methods offered directly through the PayPal checkout system

The exact payment methods available to you will be displayed during checkout.

CARROT TOOL does not guarantee that every payment method offered by PayPal will be available to every customer or in every country.

2. Paying Without a PayPal Account

Where PayPal makes guest checkout or card payment available, customers may be able to complete a purchase using an eligible credit or debit card without creating or logging into a PayPal account.

Availability of this option is determined by PayPal and may depend on factors such as:

  • Customer location
  • Transaction amount
  • PayPal risk controls
  • Card issuer
  • Device
  • Account history
  • Other payment-processing requirements

CARROT TOOL does not control whether PayPal displays guest checkout for a particular transaction.

3. Payment Processing

When you submit an order, your payment information is transmitted to PayPal for authorization and processing.

PayPal may perform:

  • Payment authorization
  • Identity verification
  • Fraud screening
  • Risk assessment
  • Transaction monitoring
  • Payment-account verification

Your order may remain pending until payment has been successfully authorized or completed.

CARROT TOOL may also review an order before fulfillment for payment verification, fraud prevention, product availability, and shipping feasibility.

4. Payment Security

CARROT TOOL uses PayPal as its payment-processing provider so that sensitive payment information can be handled through the PayPal payment environment.

CARROT TOOL does not store full credit or debit card numbers or card security codes (CVV) on our own website servers.

We may receive payment-related transaction information necessary to process and manage your order, such as:

  • Customer name
  • Email address
  • Billing or shipping information
  • Transaction amount
  • Transaction ID
  • Payment status

Additional information about how personal information is handled is available in our Privacy Policy.

5. Currency

Product prices are displayed in the currency shown on the website or during checkout.

The final currency and amount to be paid will be displayed before you confirm the transaction.

If your PayPal account, credit card, debit card, or bank account uses a different currency, your payment provider may perform a currency conversion.

Any exchange rate or currency-conversion fee applied by:

  • PayPal
  • Your card issuer
  • Your bank
  • Another financial institution

is determined by that provider and is outside CARROT TOOL’s direct control.

6. Payment Authorization

Placing an order does not necessarily mean that payment has been successfully authorized.

A transaction may be:

  • Approved
  • Pending
  • Declined
  • Reversed
  • Subject to additional review

If payment authorization fails, the order may not be processed.

You may need to:

  • Retry the payment
  • Use another eligible payment method
  • Contact PayPal
  • Contact your card issuer or bank

CARROT TOOL cannot override a payment decline issued by PayPal, a bank, or a card issuer.

7. Pending Payments

Some transactions may remain in a pending status while PayPal or another financial institution performs additional processing or review.

An order with a pending payment may not be shipped until the transaction has been successfully completed or otherwise confirmed.

Payment-review delays are generally controlled by the relevant payment provider.

8. Order Confirmation

After you successfully place an order, you may receive an automated order confirmation.

An order confirmation means that CARROT TOOL has received your order.

It does not necessarily mean that:

  • Payment has completed final review
  • The product has already shipped
  • The order cannot be cancelled because of fraud, availability, pricing, or fulfillment issues

If an order cannot be fulfilled after payment, CARROT TOOL will contact you and provide an appropriate resolution, including a refund where applicable.

9. Incorrect Payment Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate payment and billing information.

Incorrect information may result in:

  • Payment failure
  • Payment review
  • Order delay
  • Order cancellation

Please verify your billing and contact information carefully before completing checkout.

10. Payment Declines

A payment may be declined for reasons including:

  • Insufficient funds
  • Incorrect card information
  • Incorrect billing information
  • Card restrictions
  • Bank security controls
  • PayPal risk screening
  • International transaction restrictions
  • Fraud-prevention systems
  • Expired payment method

CARROT TOOL may not receive the specific reason for a decline.

If your payment is declined, please contact PayPal, your card issuer, or your financial institution where appropriate.

11. Fraud Prevention and Payment Verification

To protect customers and CARROT TOOL from fraud, we may review transactions that appear unusual or require additional verification.

We may request reasonable information to verify:

  • Customer identity
  • Order ownership
  • Billing information
  • Shipping information
  • Transaction authenticity

An order may be temporarily held while verification is completed.

Where we reasonably believe a transaction is fraudulent, unauthorized, or presents a significant payment risk, we may cancel the order and refund the applicable payment.

12. Duplicate or Multiple Charges

If you believe you have been charged more than once for the same order, please first check whether one of the transactions is:

  • A temporary authorization
  • A pending payment
  • A completed payment

If you still believe an incorrect duplicate charge has occurred, contact:

info@carrottool.com

Please provide:

  • Order number
  • Transaction date
  • Transaction amount
  • Relevant PayPal transaction information

Do not send full credit card numbers or CVV information by email.

13. Taxes, Duties and Import Charges

The amount paid through CARROT TOOL may include or exclude applicable taxes, duties, customs charges, or other government fees depending on the product, destination, and shipping arrangement.

Where charges are included, this may be stated on:

  • Product page
  • Checkout
  • Shipping information
  • Commercial quotation

Where CARROT TOOL does not expressly state that import duties, taxes, customs charges, or local fees are included, such charges may be payable separately by the customer.

Please refer to our Shipping & Delivery Policy for additional information.

14. Payment for Wholesale, OEM and ODM Orders

Wholesale, distributor, OEM, ODM, full-container, and other commercial orders may have payment arrangements different from standard website retail orders.

Depending on the project, payment terms may be confirmed through:

  • Commercial quotation
  • Proforma invoice
  • Purchase agreement
  • Written order confirmation
  • Separate commercial contract

Such orders may require:

  • Deposit payments
  • Progress payments
  • Balance payments before shipment
  • Other mutually agreed payment arrangements

Where separate written payment terms apply to a commercial order, those terms will govern that transaction.

15. Refunds

Approved refunds are generally issued to the original payment method used for the transaction.

Where a payment was processed through PayPal, the refund will normally be submitted through the corresponding PayPal transaction where possible.

Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of the order and our:

Returns & Refunds Policy

and

Warranty Policy

where applicable.

16. Refund Processing Time

After CARROT TOOL approves a refund, we will normally initiate it within approximately:

5–10 business days

The time required for the refunded amount to appear in your account may vary depending on:

  • PayPal
  • Card issuer
  • Bank
  • Payment method
  • Financial institution

Once a refund has been submitted to the payment provider, additional processing time may be outside CARROT TOOL’s direct control.

17. Refund Currency and Exchange Rates

Refunds are generally processed based on the original transaction.

If your original payment involved currency conversion, the amount ultimately credited to your account may be affected by:

  • Exchange-rate changes
  • PayPal currency-conversion rules
  • Card issuer policies
  • Bank conversion policies

CARROT TOOL does not control exchange rates or conversion fees applied by independent payment providers or financial institutions.

18. Cancelled Orders

If an order is successfully cancelled before shipment and a refund is due, the refund will generally be returned to the original payment method.

Once an order has entered:

  • Production
  • Final processing
  • Packaging
  • Warehouse transfer
  • Shipment

cancellation may no longer be possible.

Please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for detailed cancellation conditions.

19. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe there is a problem with:

  • An order
  • Payment
  • Shipment
  • Product
  • Return
  • Refund
  • Warranty claim

please contact CARROT TOOL first at:

info@carrottool.com

We will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve the issue.

If a payment dispute or chargeback is initiated through PayPal, a card issuer, or another financial institution, CARROT TOOL may provide relevant transaction information to the payment provider, including:

  • Order records
  • Payment records
  • Shipping information
  • Tracking information
  • Delivery confirmation
  • Customer communications
  • Return records
  • Refund records

Nothing in this section prevents customers from exercising lawful dispute rights available through their payment provider.

20. Unauthorized Transactions

If you believe a payment associated with CARROT TOOL was made without your authorization, contact:

  • PayPal
  • Your card issuer or bank
  • CARROT TOOL

as soon as possible.

You may also contact us at:

info@carrottool.com

Please do not send sensitive card information such as your full card number or CVV by email.

21. PayPal Terms and Policies

PayPal is an independent payment service provider.

Your use of PayPal may also be governed by PayPal’s own:

  • User agreement
  • Privacy policy
  • Payment terms
  • Buyer-protection rules
  • Security procedures

CARROT TOOL does not control PayPal’s independent payment-processing decisions, account restrictions, currency conversion, or other services provided directly by PayPal.

22. Payment Availability

CARROT TOOL may add, remove, or modify available payment methods from time to time.

Payment availability may depend on:

  • Customer country
  • Order value
  • Product type
  • Payment-provider availability
  • Fraud-prevention requirements
  • Applicable regulations

The payment methods displayed during checkout are the payment methods currently available for that transaction.

23. Payment Errors

If a technical or system error affects payment processing, CARROT TOOL may contact you to verify the transaction before fulfilling the order.

We will not intentionally charge a customer more than the amount properly due for the confirmed order.

Where an incorrect payment is verified, we will take reasonable steps to correct the transaction.

24. Protecting Your Payment Account

Customers are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect their:

  • PayPal account
  • Payment credentials
  • Email account
  • Devices
  • Passwords

Do not provide payment-account credentials to unauthorized persons.

CARROT TOOL will never request your full card number or CVV through ordinary email communication.

25. Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Payment Policy is intended to exclude or restrict rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer-protection, payment, or financial laws.

Where a mandatory legal requirement applicable to a customer conflicts with this Payment Policy, the applicable mandatory requirement will prevail to the extent of the conflict.

26. Changes to This Payment Policy

CARROT TOOL may update this Payment Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:

  • Payment methods
  • Payment providers
  • Website functionality
  • Business practices
  • Fraud-prevention procedures
  • Applicable laws and regulations

Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
