50A Dual-Voltage Cutting in a Compact 8.8 lb Machine
The CUT50D is a compact dual-voltage plasma cutter designed for DIY metalwork,
garage projects, automotive repair, farm maintenance and general fabrication.
It combines HF touch-start contact arc ignition, IGBT inverter technology and
digital control with up to 50A cutting output on 200–240V power.
More Cutting Capability When You Move from 120V to 240V
The CUT50D provides two practical output ranges depending on the available
input power. Use the clean-cut figures as the more practical reference for
routine work, while maximum severance represents the upper end of the
machine’s cutting capability under suitable conditions.
Clean cut refers to the more practical thickness range for consistent edge
quality. Maximum severance refers to the upper thickness the machine may cut
through, potentially with slower travel and more cleanup.

HF Touch-Start Contact Arc — No Pilot Arc
The CUT50D uses HF contact-start ignition rather than a pilot-arc system.
Reliable starting depends on a good conductive path between the machine,
ground clamp, workpiece and torch.
Heavy rust, paint and insulating coatings can interfere with reliable arc
starting. Expose clean conductive metal at the ground-clamp contact point
and around the intended starting area whenever needed.
Attach the Ground Clamp
Secure the clamp directly to the workpiece or another clean, electrically conductive area.
Start on Clean Conductive Metal
Remove heavy rust, paint or insulation where necessary to establish a reliable electrical connection.
Trigger the HF Contact Arc
Position the torch for a reliable contact start, trigger the arc and begin moving once stable cutting is established.
establishing contact with the workpiece, the machine automatically stops arc
output to reduce unnecessary no-load ignition and consumable wear.

Dual-Voltage Power with IGBT Inverter Technology
The CUT50D combines dual-voltage input capability with an IGBT inverter
power system, giving the same compact cutter two useful output ranges.
AC 100–120V
Adjustable 15–35A cutting output for compatible lower-voltage power supplies.
AC 200–240V
Adjustable 15–50A output, allowing the machine to reach its full 50A cutting capability.
IGBT Inverter Architecture
High-frequency inverter power conversion helps keep the CUT50D compact while providing adjustable DC output for plasma cutting.
The front digital interface keeps the primary operating controls within easy reach.
Choose the Trigger Mode That Fits the Cut
The CUT50D centralizes current adjustment, operating status and supported
pressure information on the front digital control panel.
2T Mode
Hold the torch trigger while cutting and release it when the cut is
complete. Useful for shorter or stop-and-start cutting work.
4T Mode
Reduces the need to continuously hold the trigger during longer cutting passes.
After the arc stops, post-flow continues briefly to support torch cooling.
Cut a Wide Range of Conductive Metals
The CUT50D can be used across common electrically conductive metals encountered
in DIY work, repair, maintenance and general fabrication. Actual cutting
performance varies with material type, thickness and operating conditions.

Stainless Steel
Aluminum
Copper
Alloy Steel
Cast Iron
Cutting Parameters Reference
Use the chart below as a practical starting reference when matching material,
thickness, amperage and regulated airflow. Actual settings may require adjustment
for voltage stability, material composition, consumable condition and cutting technique.

1. Start with the Chart
Choose a starting current range that matches the material and thickness as closely as practical.
2. Make a Test Cut
Test on scrap material or an unused edge before beginning a long or precision cut.
3. Fine-Tune the Setup
Adjust current, travel speed and regulated airflow as needed for stable penetration and manageable dross.

This demonstration shows the CUT50D performing an actual thick-material cut,
providing a practical view of torch movement, arc behavior and material penetration.
This is a real severance demonstration, not a 0.8-inch clean-cut rating.
Connect the Air, Torch and Ground Clamp
The CUT50D requires an external compressed-air supply. Once the air system,
PT31 torch and ground clamp are connected correctly, the cutter can be set up
for the material and thickness being worked.
Connect the Air Supply
Connect a suitable external compressor through the supplied air hose and regulator/filter components.
Connect the PT31 Torch
Secure the torch to the corresponding front-panel connections before operation.
Attach the Ground Clamp
Clamp directly to clean, bare conductive metal for reliable HF contact starting.
The compressor itself is not included.

What’s Included with the CUT50D
The current product package includes the main torch, air-system connections,
consumables and accessories needed to prepare the CUT50D for use with a
suitable external compressor and power supply.

Cooling and Built-In Operating Protection
Fan-assisted cooling, post-flow airflow and fault monitoring help the operator
identify abnormal conditions and keep the cutting system within its intended operating range.
Fan-Assisted Cooling
Internal airflow helps remove heat from the inverter and power components.
5-Second Post-Flow
Airflow continues after the arc stops to help cool the torch head and consumables.
Over-Current Protection
Built-in protection can disable cutting output if an over-current condition is detected.
Temperature & Air Monitoring
Diagnostic monitoring helps identify abnormal temperature, cooling or compressed-air conditions.
